After an absolute lovely breakfast at Susie's and Charles' beautiful home we left for a drive to Knysna. Susie and I were colleagues in SA way back and have been friends ever since. They attended our wedding in 1992 and I met them again about 3 years ago in Spain. We just took off again where we left......
We stopped at many spectaculair viewpoints but....the weather was not great, we even had hailstones.
As Susie said "I told you so"...you should visit in the Summer. This region, the Western Cape is one of the most beautiful , places you'll find in the world. The (Winter) weather does't do any justice to this paradise.....
Susie&Charles home with rooms with a view. I sat at the same diningtable many years ago...
Recently a big tanker stranded, precautions are being taken so that the oil will not spoil the beaches
Singing in the rain
We stopped for coffee in Knysna and later on for lunch.
When we returned home, Susie and Charles had to sort out their itinerary for their trip to Greece which starts this coming Thursday and I did some ironing!
We ended the day with a lovely dinner at a nearby steakhouse. The food was great, the conversation open and lively; a truly wonderful evening!
