It was an early rise this morning after a short but sweet stay at The Saffron House. On the way to the airport we saw a lot of work commuting, it's Monday morning. A take-away breakfast had been prepared for us and at approx. 7.30 we arrived at the return place of our rental car at King Shaka Airport in Durban. It's about 23 degrees. We printed our boarding passes at the hotel, so checking in went quick and smoothly. We think that the airport has a very pleasant atmosphere and really looks nice. Lauran considered buying a Springbok shirt but decided against it....Michael bought a book!!! "The secret history of the world" by Jonathan Black and a pair of cufflinks. So now it's Lauran's and my turn...:)
At the airport we watch the news on tv-screens, there are always many reports on murders....the broadcast is powered by Siemens.
After a two hour flight we reached George airport at 11.30 and were met by my dear friend Susie. We collected our car at the Rental car place, this time it is a Honda...not as fancy as the Audi but we are not complaining. We followed Susie to their home in Wilderness which is located right at the beach. She showed us some amazing spots on the way. Unfortunately my iPad was not charged so no pictures yet! At home we met up with Charles, her husband, and had a lovely lunch of quiche and salad. Later today, we took a nice walk on the beach right in front of the house. Lauran took a nap, and was relieved when we got home as he had locked himself in the room!! We saw the most beautiful sunset from the house.
We had a lovely dinner and are off to sleep now....good night :)
